Team logo variations for special days, Do you like it? shall we continue?

Postby susato » Mon Nov 15, 2004 8:23 pm

In the past several days we've put up several special-day variations on the Team Mac OS X  logo, including Election Day USA , Guy Fawkes Day , Veterans' Day (Remembrance day) , Diwali , and Eid al-Fitr.

Should we keep this going?  If so, we need your suggestions for days worth celebrating on the forum. If not, where could our efforts be better spent?  Your thoughts please!

I think it is a great idea.
A Summer time Christmas, just how one mixes snow and Santa and beach BBQs I'm not sure  :p,  would suit Australia & NZ.
Anzac Day, 25th April is important in both Countries.
Easter is an important holiday too.
Thanks for all the fun
Sue.

Ground Hogs Day marks an X on my Calendar...  How about The Day of the Tiger, when ever it is released...

How about the original release date of Mac OS X 10.0, which was March 24th 2001, the anniversary of Apple's shift from the Motorola 68000 processors to the Power Macs.  That would seem an important date to the team!    Beyond that, anything goes!  WAAAHOOOO!

How about June 4th and 5th !

June 4-5 marks the 61st anniversary of Salvation Army 'Donut Day" In Chicago. The tag day was established in 1938 to honor the work of World War I Salvation Army ·'lassies' who prepared donuts for thousands of soldiers in World War I.

Uhh Jean, don't leave Mickey up for long.

Disney is a pain about using their characters w/o authorization.

They sued a pre-school once. That's Eisner for you.

Don't worry.  Eisner is a lame duck and Steve Jobs is going to be the next CEO at Disney.  So everything is kosher.

I'd wait till he got job first. BTW the whole top enchilada would have to go, Eisner planted his evil seed all over that company. $$$$

The magic is definably gone from Disney World park, it's like a tired place, the rides are dozens of years old in some places. You get lip service from the very best restaurants there, you really don't want to eat in the cafeterias. They charge the &^$%& out of you for everything and you better like Coke products.

Fishing is good on the lakes and you can rent powerboats, that is very relaxing, you can do that anywhere in Florida really. The Wilderness Lodge is nice. But pricey.

A lot of the other Disney hotels are nasty and dire need of renovations. Eisner killed Disney to line his cronies pockets by developing the real estate the company has and never used it to make children happy.

That's why Pixar is such a success, filling the spot of Disney left.

Even EPCOT isn't what it supposed to be

Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow

Walt Disney envisioned Epcot as a real working city. As he stated "it will be a community of tomorrow that will never be completed but will always be introducing and testing and demonstrating new materials and systems." Walt Disney World's Epcot may not be what he initially proposed...

When Walt died, so did his vision and now with all that land that could have made a future city (which he planned for) for the benefit of mankind is just some lame theme park with a bunch of tired immigrants playing ethnic parts.

I'm sorry to say, but I think when SJ goes so will his vision, nobody can replace him.

Disney is too much for SJ to handle, he's got enough already, don't count on the Disney job.

:(

Thanks Sailfish, we'll wave the checkered flag a bit early.
