If you're wondering about today's logo:  it was exactly 3 years ago today that F@H was released for Mac OS X.  Our team was established around that time.  Check back tomorrow for the Team's official birthday, the day when the website and the old Yahoo forum initially went "live".

Jean (and the other team logo specialists),

I really appreciate and like the team-logo variations, and I think you and the others are doing a great job.

But maybe, I don't want to interfere to much, maybe today there would have been a better logo: last year 11 march, 191 people were killed in the Madrid train terrorist attacks and maybe we should remember that, in stead of 'Don't panic'-day.

With kind regards,

Willem-Jan

Hello Willem-Jan,

Thanks for your comment, which is exactly the kind of feedback we need on the logo project.  All I can say in explanation is that the sources I've been using for ideas are heavy on famous people's birthdays and older history, and weak on recent history.

Today's logo was mine, so I have no qualms about replacing it.  If I can find some time to make up a new one, I will.  Meanwhile, if there are any other events, people or days you can suggest for us to commemorate, please post them here and we'll try to work them in to the schedule.   Even better, if you or anyone else would like to contribute a daily logo design, just send me a PM describing your day and idea, and I'll supply you with guidelines, components, etc.

With best wishes,
Jean

Jean,

thank you very much. The logo is beautiful, and these kind of things make us a little bit different than other teams,

For those who requested the memorial to Pope John Paul II to stay up longer - Sorry, it's not possible.
However, here's the graphic if you want to see it again later.

Nice 'stang!  Wrong man sittin' in it!  Look it has a FOLDING top!  :wink:  For all you trivia buffs out there;

The world debut of Mustang occurred at the World’s Fair in Flushing Meadows, New York on April 17, 1964.  Standard equipment includes a 170-cubic-inch (cid) six-cylinder engine, three-speed floor-shift transmission, full wheel covers, padded dash, bucket seats and carpeting. It weighed just 2,572 pounds. The price at launch: $2,368.  22,000 Mustang orders were taken on the first day, and sales reached an astounding 417,000 in car’s first 12 months.  The first regular production Mustang was a Wimbledon White convertible with a 260-cid V-8 that rolled off the assembly line on March 9, 1964. While on a promotional tour of Canada, a Ford dealer in St. John’s, Newfoundland "mistakenly" sold the car to Capt. Stanley Tucker, a pilot with Eastern Provincial Airlines. Ford reacquired the car from Capt. Tucker in 1966 in exchange for Mustang number 1,000,001, and the original car is now on display at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Mich.

And now in my most impressive Paul Harvey voice, "Now you know... The rest of the story."
Fold!  It does a body good!™

I was wondering about that date in the Team Banner - 17 April 1965
Because I had a 1964 6 Banger Convertable w/ a Four on the Flour !
Wish I still Did !
