Is this service installer working for some folks in here, sounds like a great way to go with the win boxes.

Any feedback?

Hey, it works great. I added 3 machines to my fold(ing) using this.

Used it to install F@h on my work machine. It works beautifully.

ken, don't you think that we would have been screaming if this didn't work as well as NoahJ's other fine efforts? Our friend does good work!

Fine on several machines here. Just make sure that the -advmethods flag was passed as an argument.

Don't forget to install EM III. It works well with the service. If properly configured, it will tell you more than you would ever want to know about your production - like average ppd, total WUs, all WU records, how many of each different project you have run - etc. etc.

Windows folding service installer, The easiest yet!

I am working on a dual processor version.  It will work much the same but ask if you want to install one or two folding sessions.  I have the dual install portion working, just have to work out the dual uninstall, and the dual folding tag change.  It will also launch the -configonly cli on install so that all you have to do is put the CLI into the folder you want to run it out of and from there it will install the rest.  More to come as it gets closer to done...

This new version is taking a lot of effort.  Still working on it, if anyone wants to beta test it post here and I will let you try it out.  Installation appears fine, but the uninstall routine and the reconfiguration routine are not complete yet.  Still plodding away in my spare time.

I'm game.  I'm trying the current version out on a PC at work...

May as well contribute to the effort.  :;):
