Mac App Store

Postby phantom » Thu Oct 21, 2010 2:39 am

With the new Mac App Store coming our way within the next 90 days, it seems like there is an opportunity for a carefully-submitted F@H-related app to receive widespread visibility and possible distribution to millions of Mac users. Just think if such an app resulted in a couple hundred new contributors to the cause? :woot:

Here's an article on addressing the Mac App Store guidelines: Apple issues review guidelines for Mac App Store

Any of you developer-types interested in putting something together and submitting it?

Would surely need to tiptoe carefully through the F@H guidelines, too... Any interest?

The long list of restrictions would exclude anything but a self-contained monitor-type app or widget.
Even downloading projects info might get an app refused.
InCrease certainly wouldn't make the cut, as it downloads other code (fah client and qd).
