Curby's Machine Browser for Screen Sharing, Please help me beta test

Postby curby.net » Mon Dec 14, 2009 4:15 am

From the readme:

--- Purpose ----------------------------------------------------------

Recent versions of Leopard and Snow Leopard have removed the "bonjour
browser" from the Screen Sharing app.  The bonjour browser was used
to store frequently used Screen Sharing machines for quick repeated
access.  This Screen Sharing Launcher naively manages addresses for
Screen Sharing Servers and launches the Screen Sharing app with the
chosen address.

--- TO DO ------------------------------------------------------------

Ordering of entries based on recent use and removal of duplicates.

If you use Screen Sharing, please help me test this.  I'm already using it, but could use more eyes.  The main script can be opened by digging down after opening the app via "Show Package Contents."

Doh, bug for new installs.  From the readme:

v2.1, 2009-1214
   - Fixed bug that tries to stat nonexistent server list file
   - Duplicate servers are removed from server list
   - Most recent server floats to top of server list

New version will be up shortly at http://curby.net/filelib/ScreenSharingLauncher/
